YACHAD B'ARIEL
The non-profit organization “Yachad B’Ariel” (together in Ariel) was founded in 2008. The purpose of the organization is to promote projects, and developments in education, charity, Judaism and society in Ariel.
The non- profit works along the essence of the saying “If there’s a missing wheel- I shall be the wheel” (Y. Trumpeldor) Meaning, Anywhere where there is a need- we try to help; Sometimes through fundraising, and other times, in leading a long term processes and in empowering the city.

The Mentoring Project
Teenagers from the high school tutor children with social difficulties or from hard backgrounds. The teens become an ‘older brother’ figure for these children. Once in three weeks the teens meet and get professional tools and help.This project is with the participation of the high-school, the department of education and the youth department.
Reinforcing the activity of girls in national service
Around 14 girls who take it upon themselves to volunteer more than necessary. They volunteer in after school child care facilities, tutoring children, accompanying senior, “Mitchabrim club”, food distribution, computer course for seniors, work with religious and secular teenagers, Jewish identity programs, producing events for the city and more
Reinforcing the religious community
the non-profit helps in developing and maintaining the website, advertising activities and supporting different committees. This is done through initiating projects, fundraising and giving professional help- according to the need, and more.
Student Village
was established in the older neighborhood in Ariel. Around 30 college students, male and female, religious and secular, Olim and Israelis. Every student volunteers six hours a week in different programs that fits his talents and interests. In addition, the students will produce events for and with the neighborhood. The students will work with kids, teens, people with special needs, adults and seniors. They will guide a computer course for seniors in Russian, establish a community garden and more. The village will be managed by Yossi and Michal Mendel.
Reinforcing and helping charity organizations within the city
The work is done with the help of volunteers in the city. The work includes food distribution, the second-hand center, volunteer center and more.
'Talmud Tora' in Ariel
An after school program for kids to enrich their Jewish studies. It takes place in 'Or Zvulun' school, five afternoons a week. Over forty kids participate in it. The program is conducted by Rabbi Gdalya Fanstrhaim.
